This classic 1914 craftsman bungalow required a complete overhaul. Eight Penny Nail was mindful to preserve the original wood built-in fireplace mantel, bookcases, and dining room hutch. We installed an exterior concrete stairwell and new doorway to access the basement from the backyard. The interior staircase to the basement was rebuilt and we added a full bathroom to the basement. The chimney in the middle of the house was removed giving more usable space in the kitchen and attic. The kitchen was fully remodeled, complete with quartz countertops, large basin stainless undermount sink, stainless range hood and floating shelves using relcaimed wood. We are proud to have given this house all new components while maintaining its original charm.
